Completely Dysfunctional
This app and the online system behind it are a complete joke and makes me angry that the State of PA cannot get their act together. If I am paying any tax dollars to support this what a waste of taxpayer money.
For example, when you migrate to “Exclusive Online Spirits” it will ask you if want to check in-store availability?? The app also will let you click on and open up products listed and then will tell you that they are only available through a PA lottery that ended weeks or months ago. Complete waste of time.
If you actually want to order something online, the system will crash and then direct you to call the Liquor Control Board help desk for support. The app does not provide any phone number for you to do that. When you google the Control Board phone number and finally reach someone, they tell you they can’t help you. Unbelievably frustrating.
PA ought to pull themselves into the 21st century. An eighth grader could write a better program than whoever is doing it for the State.
Love this APP
I like how I can look at coupons before I get to the store which helps me save time. I just bought a bottle that had a coupon of $1.50 off but it was already on sale. Turns out the coupon was on top of the sale price and gave me the opportunity to try a new wine which turned out to be a good Cabernet! I also like how I can scan my Gift Card to see my balance. And if I give a gift card as a gift I tell them about the APP so they can use it too. The APP is easy to navigate and I like to try new wines by reading their labels at the store (it’s an adventure), checking out the Wine Select, or picking up one I have already discovered. If I have any questions the sales persons are always helpful. Most times I shop at the Union Deposit store.
Rarely functions correctly
When it works, which is rarely, it works fine and is a relatively useful app. Nothing special, a bit clunky, but it gets the job done — checking store inventory, researching details on varieties, etc. But sadly, it’s becoming completely unusable as the error messages are popping up more frequently than ever. Far more often than not, you can’t perform any search function whatsoever or even log in. Seems the front end isn’t connecting with the back end. Either fix it or take it down. But I really hope you fix it.
