This hymn was dedicated originally to victims of Covid 19, their families and friends. It is subtitled "A Song of Comfort in Troubled Times" and it is especially suitable for funeral ceremonies, and services offering reassurance. The lyrics use text from Revelations 21/22, John 14, Ecclesiastes 3 and Psalms 84 and 23.
It was written by Irish Roman Catholic composer and liturgical musician, Bernard Sexton.
The hymn was first published by Sexton, through SMP Press in 2020, with the leadsheet and an MP3 track available for free download from his website (links below).
It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Sexton. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of D, the first few notes of the melody are F F F A E E E_ D D F A B_ with accompanying chords D D7 / Em7 A / D / G.

Chorus:
God will wipe away all tears
God will bring you home
To the place he has prepared for you
You shall never be alone.
Storms may gather, evening fall
Daylight turn to shade
And when you earthly work is done
Do not fear, be not afraid.1 There’s a time for everything, a time to be born ...
2 Lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord God of hosts ...
3 God will wipe away all tears and death shall be no more,
See more ...
