Add your phone number to your Google account so that you may recover your account if you lose access to it. You can also add your mobile phone number for security notification delivery. Use your Google Account Security page to add phone numbers to your account.
Add Recovery Phone Number
Open the Google Account Security page (link in Resources) and then log in with your account. Click the "Edit" link next to Recovery Options. Click the "Add Phone" button and then enter your number into the Mobile Phone Number field. Click the "Save" button to save your changes.
Add Notifications Phone Number
Log in to your Google Account Security page (link in Resources). Click the "Edit" link next to Phone Number under the Notifications section. Enter your number into the field below Mobile Phone and then press the "Send Verification Code" button. Enter the code you receive from Google on your mobile phone into the field next to "Enter Code" and then press the "Verify" button.

Step 2: At the top, tap Personal info.
Step 3:Under “Contact info,” tap Phone.
Step 4: From here, you can:
Add a phone number: Under “Your phone numbers,” select Add recovery phone. (We recommend that you add a recovery phone number if you haven’t already.)
Change your phone number: Next to your number, tap Edit Edit and then Update number.
Delete your phone number: Next to your number, tap Delete Delete and then Remove number.
- You can easily change your phone number in Gmail by accessing your Personal Information tab in settings.

How to change your phone number in Gmail using your computer
1. Open Gmail and log into your account on your Mac or PC.
2. Click on the gear icon in the top-right to access the Settings menu.

5. Click "Other Google Account settings." This will bring you to your account settings.

9. Click on the pencil icon to edit your current phone number.
