Recipe Variations:
Combine ice cream, milk and chocolate sauce in a blender and blend until combined. I like my shakes really thick, but if you need to thin it, add a little more milk.
Top with whipped cream.
Chocolate Sauce: I use my homemade hot fudge sauce for an extra rich chocolate taste.
Variations:
- Chocolate Milkshake Without Ice Cream: Instead of ice cream, add a couple frozen bananas and plenty of ice.
- Chocolate Milkshake with Cocoa Powder: Add ¼ cup warm water, 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons of sugar to a blender and blend on low. Add ice cream and a splash of milk if needed, and blend to combine.
- Chocolate Banana Milkshake: Add a frozen banana and blend with other ingredients.
- Vegan Chocolate Milkshake: Substitute almond milk and vegan vanilla ice cream. Omit whipping cream.
