Haven’t had an oil change on my Renegade yet, but lots on my old Patriot.
It can suck!
Close all doors.
Set the gear to the PARK position.
Turn ignition to RUN position, don't start the engine.
Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three times within 10 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Some one mentioned do it fast twice, then slow the 3rd? But it’s 3 times and there is a time limit. It matters!
Sounds the same on a Renegade, lol…
But, where is park on a manual, good Q! Might need to download a service manual for yours and check how to do it on a manual…

gearbox, so putting in Park is no option with the manual reset procedure... Has anyone the NT530 Foxwell procedure? Kind regards and thank you Joined

OIL CHANGE MESSAGE and LIGHT still popping up when engine is running. I had it fixed by the garage with the professional machine and have no issues. Maybe you need to do the same. Is it possible your machine tells you what
the fault is but doesn't correct the error code to a full reset? Joined

I have bought a Foxwell NT530 diagnostic tool.
I managed to reset the Oil Counter reset (days and KM) this worked fine within the Instrument Dashboard Cluster
HOW CAN I RESET THIS? btw, the 3x pedal push trick does NOT work.

The OP states the pedal reset isn't working which may be a thing on non US models. I know it does not work on mine which is a RHD export model. I have not tried a scan tool yet though.
I also noticed that I cannot put my brakes in service mode from the apps screen either which may also be not available outside the US

Hello, Still not be able to reset the upcoming message to change the oil, it only pops up when engine is running and does not save into the messages if the engine is not running. Anyone any experience to fix this
without going to the deaker?? Regards
So, Has to come from the engine ECU,
think the pedal trick only works if the message is kept in the dashboard memory

Anyone any experience to fix this without going to the deaker?? Do not visit a Dealership and get ripped off at £70 per hour labour for a 5 minute job. Any local garage with the machine that reads the ECUs of a variety of vehicles will likely connect up your Jeep, reset it and likely tell you to
supply the cakes. Bung them £10 and they are quite happy as they surmise there could be a possibility of you returning to them for other work needing carried out.

Glenn this is what happens when we tinker with the Jeep and don't fully understand its inner workings. Get it to a garage.

This has been frustrating me all week (change engine oil light disables 4WD) and it's been dumping snow in Colorado. Finally went to a mechanic and asked them 🙌

Raven, I feel your pain. I got my mate to use his machine and reset the warning. He will have to do the same next week to reset my "Service is due" warning light.
