However, if this is your first Android device, or even your first Samsung device, you might run into some pretty basic questions. One of those might be how to take a screenshot, so let’s answer that.
Ways to take a screenshot on the Galaxy Note 9

1. Using the Power and Volume buttons
The easiest way to take a screenshot on the Galaxy Note 9 is the same as it is for basically any Android smartphone. Simply hold down the power button and volume down button for a moment, and whatever is on screen will have a screenshot taken. If your sound is on, a shutter noise will be heard, and the screen will flash as well.
2. Using Google Assistant
Another way to take a screenshot on the Galaxy Note 9 is with Google Assistant. Simply open up the Assistant by long-pressing the home button and from there, ask the Assistant to take a screenshot by voice or by typing. As a fun bonus, taking a screenshot in this way actually hides the navigation bar and status bar icons.
3. Using Bixby
It’s not all that often we’ll tell you to use Bixby, but Samsung’s AI assistant is pretty useful for system tasks. By holding down the Bixby button, you can ask with your voice to take a screenshot of what’s currently on screen.
4. How to use scrolling screenshots
The above methods all take a standard screenshot, but Samsung has a really handy feature available alongside that. If you take a screenshot with the buttons, as detailed above, you’ll be presented with a toolbar at the bottom of the screen which includes a button marked “Scroll capture.” This option lets you capture more of what’s on screen, automatically scrolling down and merging the screenshots appropriately. It’s a very handy tool.

How to take screenshot or screen capture in a Galaxy Note9
An essential functionality today in a mobile phone or tablet is the possibility of taking screenshots, that is to say to grab in an image what appears on the screen at that precise moment on your Samsung Galaxy Note9.
There are applications that can perform this functionality, but fortunately you do not need to install any additional app as it is included in the Android 8.1 (Oreo) operating system.

First method:
If you want to make a screenshot to your Samsung Galaxy Note9 you have to follow these simple steps:
Estimated time: 2 minutes.
1- First step:
First we go to the screen to which you want to make the screenshot of your Samsung Galaxy Note9, be it a web page, chat or application.
2- Second step:
There are two methods: using the Android native method by simultaneously pressing the power key and the volume key down or through Samsung's own system: it consists of sliding the side of the palm of the hand across the screen from the
right side to the left (or vice versa) of our Galaxy Note9 to that we see a flash that indicates that the capture has been made. This method may not be available, depending on the version of the software you have.
To take the screenshot with this gesture you must first activate it from the settings, go to the settings, click on "Advanced functions" and activate the option "Move palm to capture".
3- Third step:
When taking the screenshot on the Galaxy Note9, a flash will be displayed on the screen, as if a picture of the screen had been taken and depending on the version of the installed software and the model or region, a black bar will be displayed on the bottom of the screen from which we can open the screenshot, edit it, share it or take a long screenshot or scroll screenshot.
Otherwise, a silent notification will appear indicating that the screenshot has been taken, we can click on this notification to view it and perform the action we want with it.
4- Fourth step:
The captured image is automatically saved in the gallery of your mobile/cell phone Samsung SM-N9600, SM-N960F.
You can find the image gallery on the home screen, it should have a photo icon, an instant photo or depending on the version of the software installed, it is possible that your image gallery application is Google Photos, in this case look for the icon of a four-pointed star made of paper with four colors, one for each point.
5- Fifth step:
Open the image gallery, the images and photos will appear sorted by date,, click on the capture that you just made on your Galaxy Note9, and you will be able to edit it, trim it or send it to your contacts or through your preferred social network.
