The McCormick Ranch Golf Club has two outstanding 18 hole golf courses and is similar to what you'd find on the east coast and in the Midwest. These two courses have all of the traditional features: sand, water, mature trees and long drives off the back tees.
The Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch features 10 water holes and, as its name suggests, many large palm trees. Number nine on the Palm course was selected as one of "America's Top-18 water holes" by Golf Illustrated magazine. Other recognized awards include one of "America's Best Golf Shops" by Golf Shop Operations, the National Golf Foundation's 'Public Golf Achievement Award' and Meeting and Conventions magazine's "Gold Tee Award." Tournaments include the Arizona Open, Motorola Open, Arizona Amateur Stroke-Play Tournament and many Southwest Section PGA and amateur events.
Visiting McCormick Ranch Golf Club will take you on a trip back in history, showing what golf was like in Scottsdale in the less glittering era of the 1970s before the explosion that occurred in the upcoming decades.

About
McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.
Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.
A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

Palm Course - McCormick Ranch Photo submitted by tainge on 03/29/2013
Way overpriced!!
Late Sep $156. Its ridiculous that a course like this dares to charge that much. I played as a single, paid $156 and they did not let me ride on my own, they put one of the other guys on my cart. Not playing there again
Great course and pace of play
Enjoyed the course, it was in good shape and pace of play was good-great for weekend golf!
September Golf
Only one course was open. Course was in good condition and we were able to play in 3 hours as a two some. Would play again as this was good value for what you were getting
This place was AWFUL!! I won't be back!! EVER!!
I have finally had enough of bad conditions at this facility. The course was completely soaked. And Rain had nothing to do with it. There are much better conditions around the valley and much cheaper to boot.
Standing water all over the course. With a smell that's like a sewer. Soaking wet fairways. Standing water in almost every single bunker Greens were slow and wet. Tee boxes were not cut for days. I used an extra tall tee and still had issues trying to get it high enough off of the grass to hit it. This place isn't worth 15 bucks let alone 99.
Great Course
The only issue is the water fountains on the course are hot water coming out.
McCormick
Overall good course. Some improvements would be welcome: water stations, more frequent beverage cart . It is hard to understand that this course is one of the few in Arizona that does not allow walking. This is very backwards.
In great shape but greens were slow. Everything else was perfect!
great day
staff is awesome and the course in in spectacular shape...very playable and great layout
Difficulty Somewhat Challenging
Fast pace of play. The tee boxes and greens were okay for this hot time of year. The fairways were browned out. There should be more than 1water cooler on the back 9 of the Palm Course, or at least have better signage for water.
