Make-A-Friend Room in Poppy PlaytimeThe game Poppy Playtime 1 introduces the player to the Playtime toy factory after all its employees went missing about 10 years ago. As a former factory employee, the player receives a letter stating that they have never left Playtime Co. with an invitation to come back here to find out what happened. Once inside, the giant Playtime icon once named Huggy Wuggy is already there to greet you. Don’t let its cute appearance fool you, because there could be a bloodthirsty devil hiding inside.
Playtime factory is quite large with many different rooms. After being abandoned for many years, this place is really chaotic, dark and scary. But once you get there, you can’t go back. You can only get out by moving forward to solve all the mysteries.
Players must use GrabPack to solve puzzles and reconnect circuits to restore power to many of Playtime’s machines. After finding the GrabPack in the security room, turning on the power to the lobby, you can enter the production room, where world famous toys are made.
When you have the red GrabPack arm and move to the carousel, you will fall into the room called Make-A-Friend. The door out of this room is locked with the sign Nobody leaves without a toy! – No one leaves without a toy! The door sill allows you to scan homemade toys with the Make-A-Friend machine. So, first, you need to turn on the power to it.
How to start Make-A-Friend in Poppy Playtime
To the left of the carousel in Poppy Playtime’s Make-A-Friend room, there’s a staircase leading up to the scaffolding above. You will see a piece of scaffolding missing. Use GrabPack to drag the missing segment on the opposite side. The pink tape located to the right of the missing section can be viewed on the solid color VCR located at the top of the stairs.
The fuse box is located at the end of the first part of the scaffold and the other part can be pulled to the middle. By pulling the fuse box and wire between the two posts in the center section, you can power on the second fuse at the bottom end of the scaffold. This action will start the Make-A-Friend machine. Then it will show Power On.
The machine will start up in a few seconds after you press the Start button. Next, the three levers above the conveyor belt will light up. You can manually pull them to activate. This puts the toy’s parts on a conveyor belt, which passes them through the assembly machine into the finished product. Finally, you can put it in the scanner to unlock the door.

“ | Our founder, Elliot Ludwig, was a visionary. He set the stage for all of Playtime Co.'s greatest feats. Yet of all the amazing things that he created, the Make-a-Friend Machine is one of the most creative, impressive, and advanced. It is solely responsible for nearly every Playtime Co. toy sold on the market to this day. All it needs is to be fed the proper parts, and it will then paint, assemble, and do a quality inspection of the toy all on it's own. Gone is the need for complex sorting or back-breaking labor. This machine can do all that- and more! | ” |

Introduction
The Make-A-Friend Machines are an old mechanism that was used by Playtime Co. to create the toys seen in-game, possibly including Huggy Wuggy etc. This machine was used for kids and adopted orphans to leave with a toy, for remembrance of the facility and to create a way for visitors to support and increase trust for the factory. However, it's still working and does its job perfectly fine. There are three Make-A-Friend machines in the room before the Vent Chase Sequence:
- The Make-A-Friend Eyed machines.
- The Yellow, long Toy Parts Distributors used to give the toy parts to the Make-A-Friend Eyed machine, resulting in the creation of the toy itself.
Trivia
- The Red Make-A-Friend Machine in the middle follows you with its eyes, but the others don't.
- The Yellow Make-A-Friend on the right has no eyes, and only pupils.
- The Make-A-Friend section seems to be linked with the Warehouse.
- The Make-A-Friend Machine appears to be a reference to Build-A-Bear.
