Directions
Keep refrigerated. Cooking Instructions: Remove outer wrapper. Boil: Place smoked pork shoulder in sauce pan. Cover with water and simmer boil over low heat for 1 to 1-3/4 hours. Broil or Fry: Smoked pork shoulder may be sliced, broiled or panfried. Oven Roast: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Remove all wrapping. Place in shallow roasting pan. Bake for time indicated or until internal temperature is 148 degrees F. 1 to 2 lb: 1 to 1-1/2 hours. 2-1/2 to 3 lb: 1-3/4 to 2 hours. During last half hour of baking time brush with glaze or cover loosely with foil. Microwave: Remove all wrapping. Cover and microwave on high (100% power) 5 minutes per pound, turning over halfway through cooking time. Let stand 5 minutes. Internal temperature should be 148 degrees F. Because ovens vary, time may need to be adjusted.
