I have steamvr initialized and am using a quest 2 with a link cable (usb 2.0) and have everything setup perfectly.
Errors I get:
On start it says failed to enable developer mode.
On quit it says failed to disable developer mode.
Warnings I get:
Steam 109 error saying that steam isnt initialised when it very well is.
Please Check steam is installed.
Output:
In the editor everything displays correctly but in the quest its just a black screen.

I have downloaded the 1.19.7 update because SteamVR wasn't working. I have tried reinstalling it (as the app requested) twice and it still can't detect my headset.
I play with Oculus Quest 2 and through Virtual Desktop (Trying to play Beat Saber).
Hoping anyone can help...

Also instead of virtual desktop, have you tried the actual Airlink?
Have you got a cable to rule out any wireless issues, it would go a big way into diagnosing the issue (wireless can bring a whole host of issues to get around).

I don't have the cable it comes with (my pc doesn't have usb c input) but I have used a usbc-usb 2 cable and still not been able to detect it through steamvr

It does not need to be usb c on your computer, you can happily use a usb c to A cable, but is has to be USB 3.0 not 2.0 so your cable will not work. You also really need a 3-5gb usb 3.0 cable as you can get slower ones.

I don't know what I did, but I've managed to run my games now. The Oculus hud looks new, so it might've been an update that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over.
Glad it is working now :)
