2. Embark On The New Young Scientist Badge Trails @ The Science Centre Singapore

The Sciene Centre Singapore recently announced the launch of new Young Scientist Badges at part of its 40 years anniversary of the programme! As part of the celebrations, families can embark on the multidisciplinary, Marie Curie and Margaret Fountaine Trail at Science Centre Singapore to earn the “I am a young Marie Curie” and “I am a young Margaret Fountaine” badges.
The trail will be exclusively available from 18 to 20 Oct 2022 at $5 with a physical trail booklet. Those who complete the trial will receive a physical “I am a young Marie Curie” and/or “I am a young Margaret Fountaine” badge, which are part of a limited-edition collection and only available on the three days. After which the two new badges will join the ranks of the other badges and can be earned online.

Pixar Putt Opens In Singapore For The First-Time!

Much-loved pop-up mini-golf activity, Pixar Putt, is set to open in Singapore this year for the first time at the Waterfront Promenade at Marina Bay Sands from 26 August.
This open air, pop-up mini-golf event is made up of interactive putting holes inspired by the stories, characters, and icons from some of Disney and Pixar’s most beloved films including Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Inside Out, Onward, Luca and more. Experience Malay Culture And More At The MHC ClosingFest

The Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) will have a final showcase of Malay culture and heritage with the MHC ClosingFest before the centre closes for redevelopment works on 30 Oct 2022 to refresh the Centre’s facilities, content and offerings.
The festival opens with a bang at the Gala Opening on 14 Oct 2022 with performances from local artistes such as Azrin Abdullah, Alunada and Orkestra Melayu Singapura, that pays tribute to the joget genre (traditional dance form known for its lively beats and fast-paced rhythm). These performances also hint at the upcoming revamped galleries, which would feature narratives from popular culture and entertainment centres from post-war Singapore.
Festivities continue throughout the month including a bazaar, concert and more!

The kids will enjoy exploring and connecting with different levels of mental health. Through the different installations, kids will get to better understand their mental wellbeing - for example, you can explore your feelings like anxiety at the inflating weather balloon, how emotions can be self-regulate at the large tactile fabric tent, how medication provides a little protection like a cushion to brains and why reaching out to connect with others to share is helpful too.

The Yakult Factory Tour is a popular 1.5 hour tour of the state-of-the-art Yakult plant located at Senoko Avenue (Woodlands) where you can get a behind-the-scene look at the making of the popular drink.

Visit The Restored Bukit Timah Railway Station

Following 2-years of restoration works, the Bukit Timah Railway Station and Railway Staff Quarters reopened to the public recently. The restored community node is located around the midway point of the 24km-long Rail Corridor and comprises two restored conserved buildings—the Railway Station and Railway Staff Quarters—as well as newly-added amenities, gardens and lawns.
Visiting families can enjoy (and learn more at) the heritage gallery at the old railway station and relax at the cafe inside the former staff quarters, as well as appreciate the new community spaces.

A new feeding programme is launched to add to the activities at the Night Safari. The feeding sessions will happen at the Indian rhino habitat next to Night Safari’s East Lodge at 7.30pm on operating nights. Families who like to participate in the feeding while need to make a contribution of $10. All contributions from feeding sessions will go into supporting conservation projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Aside from the exciting chance to feed an Indian rhino, guests will also get to interact with the animal care team. Feeding sessions must be booked online.

More specifically, photos of the creative 2D and 3D latte art on their coffee.
Each art is handmade by the talented barista, and you can actually request for specific characters on your coffee too! Unfortunately, the art is only available on the lattes only but offers a nice quiet place to chill and have a meal after visiting the nearby Changi Beach or as you return from Pulau Ubin.

Visit the New Therapeutic Park @ Bedok Reservoir Park

The 1,650sqm Therapeutic Garden @ Bedok Reservoir Park overlooks the scenic Bedok Reservoir and is the first therapeutic garden to be built over a former sand quarry. To reflect its heritage, the garden is designed with stones and boulders incorporated into the garden’s features and amenities.
One of the key features of the garden is the Interactive Rock Garden for visitors to try their hands on balancing rocks. The practice is to help you better concentrate in the moment and is meant to be therapeutic. You don't even have to search for rocks as it is provided in four different sizes and types, giving you the opportunity to explore different ways of creating your rock formation.

New Butterfly Maze @ Jurong Lake Gardens

Located at Jurong Lake Gardens, between the Forest Ramble play area and Garden House, the new Butterfly Maze includes a series of paths that weave between and over mounds and is set within an undulating landscape filled with butterflies. Kids can enter the maze for a self-discovery journey - exploring and discovering the maze and its hidden secrets! This includes slides, information about butterflies and interestingly shaped seats and rest areas.
While Clusia Cove, the water play area, remains closed, families can still enjoy a day out at Forest Ramble and complement their visit to the Butterfly Maze as well as the newly opened Children's Discovery Area.

Surrounded by HDB blocks, Jelutung Harbour Park is a hidden secret for families living in the Admiralty and Sembawang area. The water play area might not be massive but it is free and still lots of fun for the kids!
Apart from the water play area, families can also play at the dry playground too! There is a toilet and our experience was that it is acceptable but we have heard various comments that it is usually dirty - so do take note.

An immersive digital art installation, Digital Light Canvas at Marina Bay Sands will have you chasing after shoals of fish and painting calligraphic art. presented in collaboration with teamLab, the Japanese collective behind Future World: Where Art Meets Science at ArtScience Museum, the installation has two shows.
Strokes of Life is a four-minute sequence that takes place half-hourly and within those minutes, you can paint calligraphic art with every step you take, as brushstrokes blossom in your wake. In part two, Nature’s Rhythm, flocks of birds swoop through the 140-metre tall light sculpture overhead as thousands of fishes swim in the LED-lit ocean beneath your feet. If you step on them, they will part ways for you!
Digital Light Canvas also has other interactive features where you can use your phone to set off over 30 animated Crystal Fireworks and light displays and even have personalised messages appear on the LED floor!

There is also no limit to staying in the library on weekdays, while a limit of 2 - 3 hours is still adhered to on weekends.
