Hi ladies - so I’ve just used a Clearblue ovulation test (see pic) and received a flashing smiley - but
the result itself doesn’t look high - what does this mean? I’m breastfeeding so wasn’t expecting this - welcome your advice! I received a circle yesterday, and that was completely negative (no line) Thanks 💝

Hi Virginia,
We would recommend you start testing on the day recommended according to your shortest cycle length. Typically we expect ovulation 12-16 days before your next Period, and the LH surge occurs 24-36 hours prior to ovulation. If you have started testing on the correct day and you see an increased number (9 or more) of High Fertile days (blinking smiley) you may wish to stop testing.
The absence of Peak Fertility does not mean that ovulation has not taken place or that your Holder is faulty, it is just that your Holder has been unable to detect the hormone changes it is looking for. Occasionally, some women may have an LH surge that is too low for the test to detect, or they may not ovulate during a cycle and therefore won't see Peak Fertility.

Currently on CD17, predicted day of ovulation was Friday however have been getting flashing smileys for 7 days now
Have been buying ran out of my first pack and then only bought a 10 pack as I thought my static smiley would show up soon, now I have had to buy another pack!!!!
Wondering if I could’ve missed the peak with the change in tests as you get a new thing to put your stick in each pack (unsure of the name) or if this is normal and you can get a static smiley after 7 days
Our first month of trying and this is making me consider throwing out all ovulation tests and just DTD every other day!

Hi
Please can someone help/explain how these tests work, this is the first month we are ttc (we already have a 3 year old) the calendar stated my ovulation was suppose to be on 4th April, I have been taking the tests since 31st March, the first day showed low fertility and since 1st April it's been showing flashing smiley face (6 days) I thought the fertile window was only 6 days including ovulation, does this mean I'm not going to ovulate this month... any help would be great... thank you
