The Central Processing Unit (CPU), located within the Montgomery County Detention Center (MCDC) in Rockville, Maryland, provides law enforcement processing of all arrested offenders. All arrestees are arraigned before Maryland District Court Commissioners at the CPU who determine the arrestees release conditions. If an arrestee is not released from the CPU, but incarcerated into the MCDC, another bond hearing is conducted (Monday-Friday) via closed circuit television between the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Pre-Trial Services Unit (PTSU), located at the MCDC, and the District Court.
