2023 infiniti qx60 vs 2023 infiniti qx50

Price: We expect the 2023 Infiniti QX60 to have a starting price of approximately $47,000. Look for a range-topping Autograph trim fitted with optional all-wheel drive (AWD) to command roughly $63,000.

The 2023 Infiniti QX60 remains fresh from a complete and, some might suggest, long overdue redesign for the 2022 model year. So, what does this mean for the 2023 version?

We think any changes to this still-new generation of Infiniti’s popular SUV will be pretty minor, and most likely include new paint colors, updated wheel designs, and other cosmetic touches. That’s because the QX60 received a top-to-bottom makeover last year that reinvigorated this 3-row luxury SUV with fresh styling and a vastly improved cabin environment.

This includes a completely updated infotainment system with a sizable 12.3-inch infotainment screen coupled to a digital instrument panel.

One of the few things that didn’t get overhauled was the one available engine. The 2023 model uses the previous QX60’s 3.5-liter V6 that sends 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque to the front (or optionally all four) wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. This is a refined mechanical combination, though when testing the 2022 QX60 we found the transmission sometimes proved slow to downshift during quick passing maneuvers.

To its credit, the ride and handling struck us as delivering a solid balance of comfort and control, aided by a reassuringly linear feel to the brake pedal.

In terms of fuel economy, the standard QX60 in FWD format returns an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in city driving and 26 mpg on the highway. Adding AWD moves these numbers downward by exactly 1 mpg.

Direct rivals to the 2023 QX60 include the Lincoln Nautilus, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, Acura MDX, and Lexus RX 350.

2023 INFINITI QX60 Pricing

We anticipate the 2023 Infiniti QX60 3-row midsize luxury SUV will carry a starting price of about $47,000. That’s for the QX60 FWD in base Pure trim.

Additional trims include the Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph models. Stepping one rung up the QX60 ladder, the Luxe adds heated and ventilated seats, navigation, ProPilot driving assist, surround-view camera, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The cost for the 2023 QX60 Luxe is approximately $53,000.

At the top of the range, the loaded Autograph trim is expected to start north of $63,000 and comes with its own quilted leather interior, a black roof, standard second-row dual captain’s chairs, and an available towing package.

KBB Vehicle Review and Rating Methodology

Our Expert Ratings come from hours of both driving and number crunching to make sure that you choose the best car for you. We comprehensively experience and analyze every new SUV, car, truck, or minivan for sale in the U.S. and compare it to its competitors. When all that dust settles, we have our ratings.

We require new ratings every time an all-new vehicle or a new generation of an existing vehicle comes out. Additionally, we reassess those ratings when a new-generation vehicle receives a mid-cycle refresh — basically, sprucing up a car in the middle of its product cycle (typically, around the 2-3 years mark) with a minor facelift, often with updates to features and technology.

Rather than pulling random numbers out of the air or off some meaningless checklist, KBB’s editors rank a vehicle to where it belongs in its class. Before any car earns its KBB rating, it must prove itself to be better (or worse) than the other cars it’s competing against as it tries to get you to spend your money buying or leasing.

Our editors drive and live with a given vehicle. We ask all the right questions about the interior, the exterior, the engine and powertrain, the ride and handling, the features, the comfort, and of course, about the price. Does it serve the purpose for which it was built? (Whether that purpose is commuting efficiently to and from work in the city, keeping your family safe, making you feel like you’ve made it to the top — or that you’re on your way — or making you feel like you’ve finally found just the right partner for your lifestyle.)

We take each vehicle we test through the mundane — parking, lane-changing, backing up, cargo space and loading — as well as the essential — acceleration, braking, handling, interior quiet and comfort, build quality, materials quality, reliability.
