Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great gun great price i am a custom painter and air brush artist and use this gun for everything from low rider patterns, motocycles murals, bicycles, easy to clean and maintain, well worth the price, great for all levels of painters dont need to pay high prices for high end brand names, your doing the work not the gun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by none45 from I like it Using this gun for 6 mos. now with daily use building up acrylic lacquer finish on a small product. This gun is very reliable. I don't clean it until it quits, owing to the frequency of use. I'll often go a month or more before I have to tear down and solvent clean. This is a function of the acrylic I use, the frequency of use and less than very high tolerances that mandate very thorough cleaning with your high end guns. Been there, done that, can't afford to clean guns 5-6 times a day. My finishes are wet sanded and polished, so I can't attest to the quality of a high gloss finish spray. Would I paint a car with this gun? No, but its just fine for general purpose work. Note that "touch up" generally means spot work and blending in so its not really intended for large area surfaces but very good for small stuff. CONS: The fan spray adjustment is too sensitive and often only 1/4 turn results in a huge (and unexpected) change.

Questions & Answers

what is the lowest knob for ? at bottom of gun handle right next to air hose inlet .....this gun has it, my gun has it but the manual / spec sheet does not show this knob ....THANKS

Asked by: Uncle Freddy

The blue front knob is the air flow valve-it can be used to reduce the inlet pressure through the gun. Screw the adjusting knob in to reduce pressure and unscrew to start to increase.

My air compressor puts out 4 CFM @90 PSI, what is a good paint gun for me that works well with my air compressor?

Asked by: Rquinney

This paint gun will require 8 CFM and not be powered correctly. You might want to consider our Eastwood Detailing gun as this only requires 3 CFM.

What is the difference in a suction fed and a gravity fed paint gun?

A suction spray gun uses compressed air to create a vacuum which effectively siphons paint up from the paint container and into the spray gun. Because of this a suction spray gun requires slightly more compressed air than a gravity spray gun. The gun that is 'better' is largely a matter of personal preference.
