Never had to replace anything on it yet until one day I went to do a load of laundry, opened the front door, and found standing water inside the drum. Nearly up to the door seal, too! Wasn't dirty water or soapy water, just perfectly clear and clean water. A bit of a searching later and it seemed this part was the culprit. Even if the wash machine ISN'T running, being plugged in and "powered" is what ensures the electronic valves stay closed. In this case, the valve for the cold water went faulty and wasn't completely closing. My washer model DOES have a setting for a "minimum" cold temp or "Auto Temp" whereas it'll sense the temperature of the incoming cold water through the valve and add hot water accordingly to bring it up to a minimum "cold" temperature. It does that with the little thermistor sensor that's pictured which this replacement valve comes with.I haven't had any problems with the replacement part. No more standing water and the temperature regulation seems to be fine. Very happy with it. Reviews with imagesTop reviews from the United StatesThere was a problem filtering reviews right now. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on December 27, 2021 it did't last but for about 3 weeks and it busted and flooded my laundry room. i just ordered another one and hoping it last a little longer. i have teenagers and they have to have clean cloths for school. HELP please......... Patricia Martin Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on January 19, 2016 Philips screwdriver, flat bladed screwdriver, and a little patience. Takes about 30 minutes total to do the entire the job. Your softener will work again and your tub will fill properly and no more washed out floors. Take the back two screws off the top of the washer. Next take the top of the washer off. look to your left, yup, there it is the valve that you are going to replace. Next put the flat bladed screwdriver into the back of the valve area and pop the valve pins so the back plate can come out. Remove the back plate holding the valve in. Now remove the valve by unscrewing the two philips head screws one on each side with the philips screw driver. wiggle the valve out. There are two black rubber boots on the end of the valve. They may stay in the washer or come off on the valve. You will need these again for the new valve so keep these. Reinstall new valve. Walahhhhh! you are now a washer repair person and you will be done after reinstalling a few screws. Saved your self a boat load of money! Congrats!!!!!!!!! Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on August 21, 2020 Pefect match for the OEM valve and not terribly difficult to install. You jus tneed to be careful not to drop the screws when trying to put the new valve in. I had one drop down into the bottom of the machine (luckily where I could see it). I had to use a long telescoping magnet to reach it. Pro-tip - Use a bit of tape to hold the screw onto the end of the screw driver. When you finish screwing it in you can easily pull the screw driver away. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on October 22, 2020 You need a #2 Phillips for all screws, a #2 regular screwdriver for the plastic trim piece around the valve, and an extendable magnetic pickup tool for starting the screws once the valve is swapped out. Pull back cover off - 6 screws Much easier to fix than most Audi's, took me about 20 mins. 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect fit, remember to swap the black rubber seals to new part. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on October 6, 2021 Works great, like that it has stainless screens instead of plastic like the original. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on August 17, 2021 We've had to replace 2 of these (nothing to do with part) and these replacements have been great and at a affordable price. Reviewed in the United States πΊπΈ on May 24, 2021 As most reviews state, if your washer is leaking water even without using it, this is generally the replacement part. Took 15-20 minutes to complete the repair. Super easy and only need to remove several screws and unplug the electrical connections. Top reviews from other countries5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect authentic replacement Reviewed in Canada π¨π¦ on February 12, 2022 During the big freeze this winter, my water lines froze inside my machine, cracking the inner valve lines completely apart. 5.0 out of 5 stars As advertised - original Frigidaire part Reviewed in Canada π¨π¦ on October 12, 2021 Arrived in original packaging easy install. Works as intended ... cheaper than a new washer but with the added costs of the gaskets it gets a bit close to considering buying a new one. The washer being repaired fit the space perfectly so fingers crossed it will have a few more years in it now. 4.0 out of 5 stars Exactly the part we required. Reviewed in Canada π¨π¦ on April 26, 2019 There was a video on YT that showed how to install this on our front-loading machine. The price was reasonable and it was an easy fix. I would have given 5 stars had the part included the little washers that go on the end of what plugs into this part. Luckily, we did not destroy the ones on the old part, since they are quite special. Take care to remove them from the old part. You will need them! 5.0 out of 5 stars OEM quality part Reviewed in Canada π¨π¦ on August 8, 2018 The items was to replace a split unit which froze over the winter in a cottage.
