Via the internet, SSA offers members of the public the opportunity to request a replacement Social Security Card online. The SSA started rolling out this application in fiscal year 2016 on a state-by-state basis with full implementation occurring over several years. As part of our effort to expand and improve internet services, we monitor usage of existing online options. This dataset provides the volume of Social Security Number Replacement cards requested via the internet and the total volume of Social Security Number replacement cards requested via all service channels.
