Step 1. Plug in your iOS device to your computer using USB

The paradox is that in order to sync iPhone over WiFi without cable, first, you have to connect your iPhone to the laptop with a cable. Only then you will be able to activate the iTunes wireless sync.

We have to warn you here. There are tons of complaints on the web saying that iTunes Wi-Fi sync does not work. Usually, this is how it happens: You enabled ‘Sync over Wi-Fi’ option.

But: when you pull your iPhone from the computer – the ‘iPhone’ tab just disappears and iTunes not syncing with iPhone anymore.
