You can easily download and save images on your chromebook but it’s a bit different than what you may be used to on your older computer. The Images folder is just a collection of shortcuts to the saved images, so it’s read-only. Also, remember that on Chrome OS, files deleted from a local folder like Downloads are deleted permanently and can’t be restored since there is no recycle bin or trash folder for locally saved files. To delete an image saved on a Chromebook, open the Files app by looking for it in search.
