Change your passcode or passcode settingsOn iPhone X and later, or iPad with Face ID, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode. On earlier iPhone models, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. On devices without Touch ID, go to Settings > Passcode. You'll find several settings and options:

When you sign in to some websites and apps, a one-time SMS passcode is sent to your iPhone. As a security measure, you’re required to enter the code into the website or app. iPhone can detect the passcode in Messages and display it above the keyboard. To use the passcode, tap it.

Open the app menu and navigate to the Services tab. Here, select Private box to get started. Step 3: Go SMS will now ask you to set up the private box and provide a password that will be used to encrypt the messages. Having done that, you will be taken to your private box.
Can I lock my messages app on iPhone?You can passcode lock any app on your phone except for the Phone app. There is no option to turn off access to the Phone app at all. For apps like Messages or FaceTime, you need to edit the "Always Allowed" section of Screen Time to remove them for the limit to be enabled.
