If you hold the power button and the volume button simultaneously, the iphone resets and restarts. If you immediately hold them both

All of the solutions I have seen only help with resetting the iPhone, which briefly turns the phone off, but it always automatically starts back up. If you want to turn your phone off and LEAVE it off without ability to swipe: Settings>Accessibility>Voice Control>Set up Voice Control>Shut down Screen>Tap Slider> say “Swipe Right” Was this answer helpful? For anyone still struggling, I’ve turned it off this way: a) press volume up, volume down and power button in a quick sequence to force restart the phone. b) once the phone is about to boot up and you see the Apple logo, press the power button (only) to shut the phone down.
