You cannot link Apple Pay to Paypal. But, you can add Paypal to your Apple ID to make online or offline purchases. You can use Paypal for purchasing by using Apple ID. 

How to Add Paypal in Apple ID on iPhone or iPad?

Steps to Add Paypal in Apple ID on iPhone or iPad:

• Step 1: Open Settings on your Apple device and click on your name.

• Step 2: Click on iTunes and App store.

• Step 3: Click on Apple ID on the top and see your Apple ID.

• Step 4: Click on Payment Management, choose Paypal and add the necessary information.

How to Add Paypal in Apple ID on Mac and PC?

Steps to Add Paypal in Apple ID on Mac and PC:

• Step 1: First, open ‘iTunes’ and click on ‘account’ written on the top of the page. 

• Step 2: Select ‘view my account.’

• Step 3: Enter your Apple ID and password.

• Step 4: Then, click on ‘Edit’ on the payment type option. 

• Step 5: Then, select ‘Paypal’ and click on ‘done’ on the right side.

• Step 1: Firstly, log in to your account on the Apple website.

• Step 2: Then, click on ‘Payments and Shipping’.

• Step 3: After that, tap on ‘Edit,’ and then choose the payment method.

• Step 4: Then select Paypal.

• Step 5: Add your PayPal credentials and click on save.

PayPal has announced that it will bring new Apple-centric ways of paying for those using PayPal and Venmo.

The announcement came as part of Paypal's third-quarter 2022 earnings results.

The company is working with Apple to enhance offerings to PayPal and Venmo merchants and customers.

Soon, PayPal and Venmo apps will accept contactless debit and credit cards and tap-to-pay smartphone and smartwatch transactions when paired with an iPhone.

In 2023, customers will be able to add PayPal and Venmo credit and debit cards to Apple Wallet, enabling them to use them wherever Apple Pay is accepted.

The company also plans to add Apple Pay as a payment option in PayPal's unbranded checkout flows, such as the PayPal Commerce Platform.

Apple announced their Tap to Pay feature in February. It allows users to accept tap-to-pay transactions from mobile devices and wireless credit cards without a separate terminal.

How to use PayPal your Apple ID payment method

iPhone & iPad

1. Open Settings and tap your name
2. Choose iTunes & App Store
3. Tap your Apple ID at the top, then View Apple ID
4. Finally, tap Payment Information, tap PayPal and follow the prompts

Here’s how the process looks:

iTunes on Mac and PC

1. Open iTunes and click Account in the menubar at the top of your screen
2. Choose View My Account…
3. Enter your Apple ID password if required, then click Edit on the right of Payment Type
4. Choose PayPal instead of Visa, Mastercard etc.
5. When finished, click Done in the bottom right corner

Web

1. Head to appleid.apple.com
2. Log in and scroll down to Payments & Shipping
3. Click Edit on the right hand side
4. Click Select Payment Method and choose PayPal
5. Click Save in the top right corner when finished
