I forgot my discord password and email

I forgot the e-mail that I used for Discord (deleted all my internet history/form submission recently). Is there a way to recover this based on my Discord handle/password? I remember my password, I forgot how I worded my e-mail, if there is a dot or dash between the words. I've been trying to recover from my e-mail account, but locked out for tries.

How to reset a Discord password?

You can change your Discord password in the following ways:

Changing your password on Desktop

1. Open the Discord app;

2. Click the gear icon in the bottom left;

3. Go to My Account and click Edit next to your username;

4. Click Change password?;

5. Enter your current and new passwords and press Save;

6. Your password has been changed. You should also receive an email from Discord notifying you about this change. In case you received such an email but did not change your password, contact Discord support immediately.

You should follow the same steps when changing your password from Discord’s website.

Changing your password on Mobile

1. Open the Discord app;

2. Tap your profile picture (on iOS) or the gear icon (on Android) in the bottom-right corner;

3. Go to Account;

4. Tap Change Password;

5. Enter your current and new passwords;

6. Your password has been changed. You should also receive an email from Discord notifying you about this change. In case you received such an email but did not change your password, contact Discord support immediately.

What to do if you forgot your Discord password?

In case you forgot your Discord password, follow these steps:

Resetting your password on Desktop

1. Open the Discord app;

2. Enter your email and click Forgot your password?;

3. Discord then will send you an email with instructions;

4. Open the email, click Reset Password, and follow the instructions provided. Again, report to the Discord support team in case you received such an email but do not remember changing the password.

The same steps apply when you reset your password from Discord’s website.

1. Open the Discord app;

2. Tap Login;

3. Press Forgot your password?;

4. Enter your email and tap OK;

5. You will get a notification about the sent email. Open the email, click Reset Password, and follow the instructions provided. Again, report to the Discord support team in case you received such an email but do not remember changing the password.

Please note that if you can no longer access that email account, you won’t be able to reset your password. In this case, you have to create a new account with a different email address. Or you can change your email address by doing the steps explained below.

Changing your email address on Desktop

1. Open Discord app;

2. Click the gear icon in the bottom left;

3. Go to My Account and click Edit next to your username;

4. In the email field, enter the email address you wish to use. Also, enter your current password below. Press Save;

5. Then you will receive an email from Discord asking to verify your account. Open it, click Verify Email, and you will be able to use Discord with your new email.

Changing your email address on Mobile

1. Open Discord app;

2. Tap your profile picture (on iOS) or the gear icon (on Android) in the bottom-right corner;

3. Go to Account;

4. Tap Edit Account;

5. Enter your preferred email address and password to confirm changes;

6. You will get an email to verify your account. Open it and click Verify Email.

Then you will be able to use Discord with your new email. You can also do this by tapping Verify Account on the red-strip in the app.
