It's still a nice smartphone that'll last you several years. But slapping a brand-new case on your handset can make it feel fresh. It's also smart to use a case to protect your fragile investment. Do MagSafe cases work with wireless charging?MagSafe iPhone cases work by attaching to the back of your iPhone via a built-in magnet. Once attached, they charge your phone wirelessly using the MagSafe charging standard. MagSafe is a proprietary wireless charging standard developed by Apple.
Can a magnet damage a wireless charger?Usually, you cannot use a wireless charger with a magnetic case because the charging system uses an electromagnetic field affected by magnets.
What case will work with wireless charging?If you want to use your phone with wireless charging and also use a case, you should choose a plastic case that is no more than 3mm thick. The material and the thickness of these cases won't impede the electromagnetic induction needed for wireless charging.
