Rated 5 out of 5 by from Abused German Shepherd Puppy with GI issues When I rescued my German Shepherd pup he was super malnutrition and had been abused severely. He had round, hook, and tape worms. He had coccidia. He also had gastritis. He had never had true dog food so he didn’t even know how to chew food so when he would eat food it wouldn’t digest properly and would cause him so much pain. Finally we found Purina Pro Plan Sensitive stomach and life instantly got better. This food softens very fast so I could throw a cup of food and some warm bone broth in the blender and make his food so quick! Thankfully once he learned how to chew food I was able to give him this food in solid form. We’ve been on this food for 6 months and he went from being 37 pounds and weak to a big 70 pound happy bear!

Rated 4 out of 5 by lavidaesbuena from I was given the [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the opportunity to have my 7 month old boxer puppy try a complimentary bag of this particular variety of Pro Plan. We have been feeding our dogs Pro Plan for years. We know it is a quality product. Our puppy was having skin issues. Per the vet's recommendation, I switched him to something skin specific. I was worried my picky little man would have a difficult transition, but I wrong! I've been feeding my pup this food for 3 weeks. I can already see his skin clearing up. Such a relief! He eats it like a champ and I can find it easily in the store. No vet prescription diet for my pup! BONUS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Milo12 from My Puppy Loves this Food…and no more wet stools! I have a standard poodle puppy who had loosely formed stools…tried various high quality chicken and rice, and then beef and rice brands, not only did the wet stools continue, but he would never finish eating his bowl. Researched a bit and finally transitioned to Purina Proplan Salmon & Rice puppy food. He was a changed puppy - stools firmed up, no more diarrhea, ate all his food in the bowl. Maybe it was food sensitivities or allergies, but they all went away with this salmon based diet enriched with probiotics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cristinam17 from This came at the [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came at the perfect time!! My puppy wasn’t eating for a while and as soon as I brought the box in she was sniffing it and so excited without even seeing the bag! I mixed in a little with her current food and she ate it all! After she went up to the bag and sniffed some more so it is definitely puppy approved! She also has a sensitive stomach so I’m happy the ingredients are for those with sensitive stomachs. The value is also great and definitely worth it. This is great food for any puppy and I’m happy I was able to let her try it. I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jnmn from Great sensitive formula I just got a 4mo old spanish mastiff. We started with a bag of large breed puppy food from a different brand and that was ok. Another dog in the house has allergies to all poultry and finding a food for this new guy that would be safe around the allergic one was a challenge. Thank goodness purina proplan came to the rescue. High quality formula no corn, wheat, soy, by-products. And no chicken, turkey or egg. I love also that it contains oats inulin and chicory as well as probios for digestion. The formula is higher protein and lower fat than the other bran we had, and thats supposed to be better for growing giant breed pups. All three dogs enjoy the kibble and it has improved the puppys stool quality immensly. No more squishy accidents in the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AGU 3 from Excellent for Sensitive Stomach Sheepadoodle Switched over from Hills (not what it was 20 years ago) and poop quality improved overnight. My 7 month old sheepadoodle loves the salmon and rice. No issues. Hopefully Purina doesn't change the formula. Only con is the largest bag size is smaller than the largest Hills bag but yet still more expensive. It's worth it, though.
