All your 2022 race details can be found below. If we missed anything in the info below, please send an email to .

This year's event will not be as festive as we like but we are still happy to be back running in person. For those participating in our race for the first time, please come back next year also when there isn't a global pandemic to see all the fun things we normally do to celebrate the New Year.

Thank you all so very much for your continued support of this race and we will see you Saturday to kick off 2022!

Athlete Commitment:

  • Stay home if I am sick or have been in contact with someone that is sick.
  • Follow physical distancing suggestions.
  • Mask when indoors.
  • Please do not crowd the finish line or postrace refreshments.
  • Avoid spitting or expelling any other bodily fluids near others.
  • Do not plan to linger inside the municipal building for any reason.

Race Time:  11:00 am, Saturday, January 1, 2022, Rain or Shine, NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Packet Pickup:  More option to reduce crowding. And yes, you can pick up for a friend. You must take the hoodie size that you specified when registering.

  • Wednesday, December 29 from 4 to 7 PM at Flounder Brewing at 2 Clerico Lane in Hillsborough. Flounder has recently moved so be sure not to let Google send you to their old address. It is not the policy of Flounder Brewing to mask, but we ask all participants to mask while picking up their packet. We also ask that if picking up for a family, you only send one member in. Weather permitting, this may be outside.
  • Saturday, January 1st at the race site starting at 9:30 AM. Weather permitting, we hope to have this outside.
  • If you'd like to pick up in advance but can't make Wednesday, please email to do a porch pick up in Hillsborough. I will do my best to accommodate all participants.

If you switch to virtual and need your hoodie shipped, please make an $8 donation and email  your shipping info. For last minute changes that require shipping, we cannot promise it will make it there by New Year's Day. The option to change to the virtual run will be open until midnight on December 31st.

Still Time to Fundraise or Donate:
Thank you to all who have started a fundraising page or supported another participant's page. It truly makes a difference for HHS Class of 2022 and those in our community impacted by Parkinson's. Plenty of time to still fundraise or donate! Participants who raised $100 and wish to cash in on their registration refund should email .

Start: There will only be one start. It will be narrower due to new curbing in the area of the start/finish. This area will be coned so that it is not a tripping hazard. See picture below. We ask that everyone please line up according to where they expect to finish in the crowds. Walkers should be at the back. Anyone who wishes to distance and hop in the race a minute later is welcome do so but there is no start mat so your 5K time will include your wait time. Please be aware that participants loop the municipal building and will be crossing through the start line again, please do not get in their way.
