My kids LOVE to sing. Likely this is because my husband and I LOVE to sing and
we always have music on in our home – except when we are trying to be intentional about silence. My children (and likely yours) know well the tunes of the various prayers from church and we enjoy singing many of our prayers especially prayers to the Theotokos like “To thee the champion leader” (which my 5 yo sings at evening prayers) and “It is truly meet” (which is my 3 yos “favorite song”). My children find learning the scripture through song so powerful and we are working with the
Seeds of Family Worship youtube and album to learn so many amazing bible quotations. (My kids even know the corresponding moves to the songs they are learning.) Recently my kids were asking me to play “Arky Arky” a song they had heard recently and little did I know how catchy it would become – nor that my husband would recognize the song from his youth and be singing along to the chorus “So rise and shine and give God
the glory!” For years I have woken up my children with song – normally “Good morning to you, good morning to you, good morning, good morning, good morning to you.” But how much more beautiful to remind ourselves right from the outset to Rise and Shine and Give glory to God. Below is the version of the song we enjoy listening to. I hope you do too. May our every effort be blessed. With love in Christ, Sasha Post navigationRepresentative Text1 The Lord told Noah, there's gonna be a floody, floody. Refrain: 2 The Lord told

See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
