If you just dropped $1,200 plus tax on Samsung's new Galaxy S21 Ultra, it would be wise to protect your investment with a screen protector. Not all screen protectors are made equal, though. If, like me, you have already scratched your display (I dropped it the second I took it out of the box), then this is a necessity.

Choices include buying a cheaper, lighter, film protector or a tougher, thicker, tempered glass covering. Both have their benefits and drawbacks, but everything on this list will protect that expensive and expansive QHD+ display.

If you're prepared to spend extra, you can get a more premium material, a better fit and a lifetime warranty. The cheaper options save money upfront, but quality may vary and you'll have to buy another if it doesn't work out. They will, however, do a solid job of keeping your display safe.
