Two tone cabinets in kitchen can be a perfect way to add a contemporary touch to your kitchen design and help a small space feel much larger. Whether you choose two tone kitchen cabinets and island or two pops of color interspersed throughout the kitchen, a two tone kitchen will always make a statement.

There are many ways to create dual color kitchens, but there are definitely some things you’ll want to keep in mind to make sure you achieve the look you’re after.

1. Think about the rest of your home. What colors will coordinate with the rest of your decor? Try and stick with a theme, especially in an open plan living space.
2. Will it age well? Unless you plan on redoing your kitchen every few years, it’s important to color finishes that aren’t too trendy and will be able to be used for a long time to come.
3. Do the colors complement each other? The colors you pick should match and work well together. Generally you’ll want one neutral or light color (or wood) and one darker or bright color.
4. Darker color on the bottom. The darker of the cabinet choices should be on the bottom to keep the look balanced.
