“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” was released on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 14, 2021. The 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases include all the bonus features found on the Digital release, but the DVD will only include the “Let There Be Action” bonus feature.

Directed by Andy Serkis, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) returns for the sequel. Woody Harrelson joins the cast as Cletus Kasady, a serial killer put behind bars by Brock’s journalistic coverage. When Brock visits Kasady in jail, Kasady bites Brock, spawning Carnage by mixing his DNA with that of Brock’s and therefore Venom’s. Female counterpart characters also appear as they get sucked into the battles between Venom and Carnage.

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is now available to stream at home. The superhero movie's video-on-demand (VOD) release comes less than two months after it hit theaters on October 1. You can buy the comic book action flick from popular streaming retailers like Prime Video and Vudu for $20.

The story focuses on the Marvel universe's Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), a journalist who has bonded with a powerful alien symbiote called Venom. When a psychotic serial killer, Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), pairs with another symbiote, he becomes the alien villain known as Carnage. With Carnage on the loose, Brock and Venom attempt to stop his deadly rampage.

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is part of Sony's Spider-Man Universe of Marvel films, which is separate from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) of interconnected movies. Though Venom and Spider-Man are both Marvel comic book characters, Sony still holds the rights to make movies based on those properties. That said, Sony and Marvel Studios have a deal that allows Spider-Man to appear in the MCU, so it's possible Venom could show up in other MCU movies if both studios agree to it.
