Fuel injectors (under intake manifold)
Camshaft position sensor Bank 1 (CMP) (located at the back of pass side cylinder head)
Camshaft position sensor Bank 2 (CMP) (located at the back of driver side cylinder head)
Oil pressure sensor (top of the engine under intake manifold)
Knock sensors (KS) (top of the engine under intake manifold)
Crankshaft position sensor (CKP) (located at the pass side rear of engine by the transaxle)
Engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) (located at the rear of engine driver side)
Ignition coils (on top of each cylinder head cover)
Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 (screwed into pass side exhaust manifold)
Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 (screwed into driver side exhaust manifold)
Electronic Throttle Body / Throttle Control (top of engine driver’s side)
Camshaft Oil Control Solenoid Bank 1 (front of pass side cylinder head)
Camshaft Oil Control Solenoid Bank 1 (front of driver side cylinder head)

well i just google it and found the location on 2.4 engine and if your local dodge dealer doesn't know where it is then you need to go to a different dealership they should be able to help you ,check with the parts guy at the dealer they usually have books with diagrams to help you ....good luck

Well I have also googled the hell out of this. The problem is you search for dodge journey and 80% of what comes back isn't dodge journeys at all. Then what is labeled as dodge journey isn't always a picture for one. They are just mislabeled. Then for the pictures that actually look like my engine, the part is not anywhere near where the diagram says it should be.

So this diagram says it is beneath the engine on the passenger side (as I see it), while the directions i got from Dodge and the ones linked in the thread both say it is on the driver side of the engine beneath the air cleaner...

And this is why I'm so confused. Ugh

Long story short, new to forum . Bought dodge journey new in 2016. Has 48,000 currently. I got a recent CEL for crankshaft sensor. I been searching the forum looking for the location of the crankshaft sensor location. I been finding post on the other journey motors but none of the location on 2016 journey AWD . Any help would be appreciated! Dealerships want over 800 for the repair. Times are tough so I want to tackle this on my own. It's a 20$ part. Any help and details of location and what's all involved to get the job done or point me in right direction. Thanks again!
