After doing some comparing, I took the chance and purchased one and it is much better than I expected. The best feature that it has is the self oiler. All the other ones I compared it to did not have that feature. It comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver. The only thing that I would like to see Black & Decker do is find a place where you can store the Allen wrench/screwdriver tool.

This pole saw did a superb job cutting down some limbs that were out of normal reach .... you know the limbs that belong to your neighbors, but hanging over your property. There is no gas smell or need to purchase any gas. The extension is quite long - much longer than I thought. Just like the hand saw this pole saw is self-oiling. Yes, it requires the standard chain saw oil. I am pleased with this buy.

It is just what I needed to cut small over grown branches from neighbors yard. I first asked neighbors if I could cut them down, they said that there wasn't any problem with that. Great product, would recommend to others.

It is also fairly light (for use by women or the slightly handicapped)! This is the kind of thing that every home-owner should have! If you don't own a regular sized chainsaw, this is great to have for those once every few months things that you would otherwise have go use a handsaw!

How do I know what size chain I need for my chain saw?

To get the correct size, simply count 3 rivets on the chain and measure the distance between them from the centre points. Now divide this by half to get your size. As an example, three rivets that measure ½ an inch across divided by two gives you a pitch of a ¼ inch.
