The lobby and rooms in the hotel have a dated feel, but were relatively clean. The hotel staff were professional. The valet service was a huge negative. DO NOT USE IT. We made the mistake of using it for the "convenience factor" instead of using one of the self-parking garages across the street. It took us 2 hours to have our car retrieved upon check-out. Looking around the overcrowded lobby area made me realize that we weren't alone. If you don't use the Drury's valet, the hotel itself is a mediocre value. We weren't blown away but it was a relatively inexpensive way to stay on the Riverwalk. If you end up here, make sure you park anywhere but in the hotel parking garage. Pros:Free Breakfast, Free Coffee, Free Dinner (kickback) Cons:The hotel was at FULL CAPACITY and completely booked and although I don't have a huge problem with this as it pertains to the pandemic, it does seem like the hotel is not designed (or managed well enough) to support a full capacity crowd. Pros:It id definitely 4+ star hotel and not 3 stars as indicated. Great service, location, free wi-fi, free breakfast and 5:30 dinner. Pros:Breakfast was delicious, drinks were perfect, bed was comfy. Cons:Need better pillows. Firm ones. Cons:Only valet parking. Inconvenient for us Pros:My room was very nice and had everything I needed for the week. I had a fully size fridge, microwave two desks and a separate room. It was nice to walk outside the hotel and be directly on the Riverwalk with great restaurants like Macy's, Ritas on the River and Iron Cactus just a few steps away. In the evening the hotel offers three free adult beverages with "snacks" but it could easily be a meal. We had chicken strips, salad, pasta and a baked potato available most evenings. The Air Force sends me here for training once a year and I look forward to staying at the Drury Plaza., Cons:My dresser was difficult to close, but it didn't bother me enough to report it until I checked out. No other complaints at all. Pros:I was very surprised that not only did I get free breakfast with my stay but also free dinner (buffet) and 3 free happy-hour drinks each day! The staff was friendly (sometimes almost over-friendly), and the location was perfect. Highly recommend. Cons:Room smelled like chlorine when I came in, and the water tasted heavily chlorinated. The room was a bit poorly lit, and the windowsill outside the room was consistently overrun with pigeons. Glasses as opposed to plastic cups would be preferred (for the environment), and a safe to lock up valuables would have been nice. (I prefer not to have to take my passport with me everywhere.) Pros:Excellent hotel near the heart of the riverwalk. Pros:Enjoyed the kickback and proximity to riverwalk. Cons:they charged my card $482 dollars for parking when it was only supposed to be $46. Took them a week to refund the money and then they still charged me for the parking!! What a joke! Where is the coustomer service?
