WhatsApp recently dropped support for devices with older operating systems. It now only supports iPhones with iOS 9 or later and Android smartphones with version 4.0.3 or later. If you're using a desktop or laptop computer, you can use an Android emulator to outsmart Whatsapp and make video calls without a smartphone, too. Join a Call in ProgressIf you get an incoming WhatsApp group voice or video call, but can’t take the call right away, you can join the call later, at your convenience. This functionality mimics the real-life flow of an in-person conversation, allowing you to pop into the group call when you’re ready. To use this feature, when the WhatsApp group call comes in, tap Ignore on the incoming call screen if you can’t join the call right away. When you’re ready to join the group call, tap the active call from your Calls tab in the WhatsApp app, then tap Join. Users can join, leave, and rejoin calls as many times as they like, as long as the call is active. There’s also a call info screen where the call’s creator can view who’s currently on the group call and who hasn’t yet joined the call.
