By India Today Web Desk: Amid of Coronavirus lockdown, people are spending more time on popular social media apps such as Facebook and Instagram. Now, if you updated a story on Instagram and want to share the same on Facebook then you don’t need to upload separately.

Instagram provides an option through which you can share your Instagram story to Facebook directly. To share your Instagram Stories to Facebook you first need to link your Instagram account to Facebook in your settings.

Once you’ve linked your accounts, open your Story Controls in your Instagram settings you can share your stories on Facebook easily. Sharing of posts from one account to other is known as cross-post. Here is a step by step guide which you can follow to share your Instagram story to Facebook.

You can follow the below-given steps to share your Instagram story to Facebook:

Step 1: First, open the Instagram app on your device and log in.

Step 2: After login, create a story, then tap Send to.

Step 3: Below your Story, tap Sharing Options.

Step 4: Select Share to Facebook Every Time or Share Once.

Step 5: At last tap Share.

If you want to share all future stories to Facebook automatically then you need to adjust your settings. Here are the steps you can follow to allow all future stories to be shared to Facebook automatically.

Step 1: Go to your profile and tap Menu icon (three horizontal lines).

Step 2: On the new page tap Settings.

Step 3: From the given option tap Privacy > Story.

Step 4: Next to Share Your Story to Facebook, tap to Allow sharing.

Keep in mind that when you share your Instagram story to Facebook, it will appear as a story at the top of the News Feed. Remember that anything you share to Facebook, including your Instagram story, works with your existing Facebook privacy settings.

To share a feed post to your story, just tap the paper airplane button below the post, just as you would to send it via Direct. At the top, you'll now see the option to create a story. Tap it to see the feed post as a sticker with a customized background ready to share to your story.

Paste the Instagram post URL you copied into a Facebook status update. Next, delete the Instagram URL from your post and write your status update. Once the Instagram post renders, delete the URL and write your Facebook post status. Now schedule your post for an optimal delivery time for your Facebook audience.

Can I share a post from Facebook to Instagram? You have two options to post to Instagram from Facebook: Delete the Facebook post and repost it while selecting Instagram as an additional destination for your post. Manually take the copy the content and make a new post from the Instagram app.

Tap in the top right, then tap Settings. Tap Account then tap Sharing to other apps. Select Facebook. If you haven't already, enter your Facebook login information.
