Degree Type Post-Master's Certificate The online certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health is a post-masters/post-DNP certification program available to certified Family/Adult Nurse Practitioner graduates who would like to gain additional knowledge in advanced practice psychiatric mental health nursing of family. You'll learn how to provide comprehensive and integrative psychiatric mental health care to those in need of psychiatric services, as well as those who are at risk. In addition to the required 23 graduate level credits in mental health theory, you'll complete 540 hours of supervised clinical experiences. Please note that before starting the program, you'll need to have taken the following graduate-level courses: Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Advanced Pharmacology. The certificate will allow graduates to sit for the Psychiatric Mental Health Certification.
