Great Value

So this hotel is a bit further from Universal than most other "on site" hotels, but provides most of the same benefits at a budget friendly price. Early park entry and Universal provided bus transportation are the biggest benefits IMO. Our room was on the 7th floor. The elevators by the parking lot doors require your room key to be scanned to access guest floors--I LOVE this security measure. Also really like the layout/easy access to load/unload luggage. Rooms are basic but very functional and super clean. No carpet! We had food from the on site restaurant once during out stay, again it was basic but very good and a decent value (for theme park hotel food). Visited the bar once, service was slightly slow but very friendly. The bar IS outside, so not sure how that works if the weather is poor. One positive that the other closer hotels can't provide: easy walking access to a Walgreens and several restaurants. The negatives: This hotel (and it's sibling Dockside) is located furthest from the parks. You CAN walk to the parks, but it's a long way and thru a ton of traffic. The free bus transportation is much easier and safer but can get crowded during peak times. The noise. The noise, noise, noise, noise, noise. Take ear plugs or a sound machine. You'll hear doors close, walking, talking, etc. There are a LOT of kids at this hotel, and you'll hear them too. Read less

Not worth the money for passholders!

I will start by saying the staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and our 2 bedroom suite was nice. It was smaller than a usual 2 bedroom suite that I am use to at Mariott or Hilton. I will start by saying the staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and our 2 bedroom suite was nice. It was smaller than a usual 2 bedroom suite that I am use to at Mariott or Hilton. However, my family and I are passholders so the "perks" of early admittance into the park and the transportation to the parks is honestly irrelevant to us. We spent well over $400 for 2 nights and this is with the passholder discounts. For the price, the size of the rooms and the "perks" us passholders are better off with just staying at a cheaper hotel. I spend maybe $300 for two nights to get a Marriot Suite and it is bigger and gives you a FREE breakfast buffet as well. Of course being a Starbucks lover this was a nice benefit but for the price of the hotel I would rather just drive to a Starbucks or get it at the parks with the amount of money I would save. This is also for a Saturday night and Sunday night rates. Overall I would give them a 3 star for being a pass holder, there is not much to offer us. Maybe if you're not a passholder it would be worth the money. Read less

This was our third trip to orlando staying in universal properties both other times staying in hard rock.Building up to arriving was a bit apprehensive booking the more budget range hotel but also had booked 3 nights in two of universal properties to obtain express passes. All i can say is we had nothing to worry about this hotel passed with flying colours.Yes check in can be a bit late SAME in all the hotels if the rooms not ready its not ready. The hotel is clean friendly staff and the 3 bed family room was very spacious(yes not much room for clothes to be hung but still manged).A lot of reviews complain regarding being gated off to stop you from spending money on international drive.ignore the entrance gate you have a gate need the room key but right outside and when its locked just cut through the car park.Inside our room we had a microwave and a large fridge and rooms was given a good enough clean each day.The swimming pool was enjoyable and yes the towels are very threadbare but again get over it your on holiday.I can safely say i will definitely be staying at this hotel from now on the massive price comparison from the big three is far better value for money.Carry on with the great work you do there and thankyou for making our holiday so enjoyable. Have experienced this resort and the sister resort, Dockside, across the street. Although this resort felt cleaner and a little more homier, the sister resort has much more offerings regarding food/beverages and activities. The bus service at Surfside was far less dependable, than what we've previously experienced at the Dockside resort. Waited about 30 min for a bus mid-afternoon from hotel to park. Front desk staff was not very informative on the times for café, and was very rude when inquiring about an early check in time. Read less

What is the difference between Universal dockside and Surfside?

Surfside is easier to get around due to smaller size. Some guests mention feeling confused how to get back and forth from room to lobby. However, Surfside only has one pool and Dockside has two pools and guests give a slight preference to amenities at Dockside pools. Dockside has a larger lobby and food court.

Can you walk to Universal from Endless Summer?

Unlike the other resorts at Universal Orlando, Endless Summer Resort is not within walking distance of the parks or CityWalk. It's a short bus ride, but it's located across Interstate 4, so you can't (or at least shouldn't) walk to the parks. However, we found the shuttle buses to be incredibly efficient.

Is there a shuttle from endless summer to Universal?

Fun, Free And Easy Transportation Complimentary shuttle buses connect this Value hotel to Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure, Universal's Volcano Bay and Universal CityWalk. It's just a quick hop between the parks and your hotel.

When did Universal's Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn and suites open?

Opened in June of 2019, Surfside Inn and Suites is the first half of the Endless Summer Resort hotel complex and features 750 rooms, 390 of which are two-bedroom suites for summery family escapades at Universal's lowest room rates ever.
